Colthrop ******* Image Intensive

I noticed this place Google maps while checking out a pillbox nearby I thought it was an old sewage works. Then while checking out the pillbox , I could see this large concrete tower that looked like a hopper. Curiosity got the better and I walked on along the towpath to see if I could get a closer shot. Well would you know it the fence was down in one place and it was rude not to pay a visit, I don't have a clue as to what it is I can only think it was the old paper mill. These are a few of the photo's I took round the place.

Isn't it great when you find somewhere unexpectedly! Our last one saw us wandering around in an old derelict shopping bags in hand and dressed in "normal" clothes!

a haven for wildlife, unexpected and echoes of past endeavours of our industrial heritage, ta very much!

Done this place several times. Last time I went I tripped as I came out through the fence and almost put a passing cyclist into the canal. Watch out for junkies! Did you spot the old portakabin (not the bust one) with clear evidence of addiction nefariousness! It's an interesting place though - and usually peaceful too.

presume you mean the portaloo though I did see a Grundon cabin as well took a photo of them but it was out of focus. Never saw any one around though it was early in the morning.

Wot a nice little surprise to find in the woods....i can think of worse things to stumble upon
