    Default Mansfield Brewery

    Hiya,

Sorry not been on for ages, been searching out places to see and take pics of. :o

Couple of months ago, myself and Ab$olut and Potter went for a visit to the old Mansfield Brewery site. Such an incredible easy entry (i think has been blocked up again now ) and we were in. anyway, enough of me wittering on, so heres the pics. enjoy.

this is just before we entered

Can't believe the amount of syringes and needles left around on the stairs on the way up at least they were all clean and still sealed - thankfully.

    A view through the "hole".

    Looking down the main stairwell.

Attempting to be artistic looking up at the remains of the ceiling tile frames

looking down at the large windows

looking out of the "hole" again towards the back of the Discovery Centre

Close proximity of the police station to the brewery. thankfully no one bothered us :D

    sign regarding the hops

some shower cubicles near the canteen

broken mirrors in the gents toilets, (wonder how many years bad luck they'll get? ;) )

row of mens urinals, again near to the canteen

    more to follow.

Whilst on the subject of Breweries, there used to be a pretty big site in Mistley, Essex. Unfortunately I missed the boat on that one, and they've just about finished converting the old buildings into yet more "luxury" apartments and could only get a few outside shots :( Heard about some similar buildings in Manningtree that might still be accessible. Hoping to check it out soon. Will let you know what's there.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
