I wont go too far into the history,as it has been covered before. Its a mixture of diffrent places in one, factories,a house and a laboritory. The house belonged to the owner of the business,R.Jhonson.In its hayday the company employed over 500 staff...and produced wire products for all over the world...including the fuel line to Normandy from England in WW2,and part of a structure used in the Brookyln Bridge,U.S.so i have read.I bumped into a D.P. member who was on his fag break from a nearby active factory,he helped me out with access points etc,so cheers to him...on with some shots..

Thanks for looking...

Yeah, the house is just slightly above the sight,on a slope in the trees...unfortunatly the house is a wreck, was built in 1894,but from the inside it looks 1600"s....no problem to get in,but you would be daft too...its totaly collapsed...the whole site is defo worth the time to visit, was lucky with the lab,as it has only just been made accessable....has been tight for years from what i was told...

See....if you hadn't been sulking you'd have seen it properly ;-)

Hee hee....

There looks to be much more in the wireworks than I thought!
