The Copperas Hill building, which over several floors sprawls a three and a half acre site adjacent to Lime Street Station, was purpose built for the Royal Mail.

From 1977 it served as a sorting office until it closed in October 2010 when the Royal Mail opted to move operations and 600 employers to Warrington – with some choosing to take redundancy.

currently getting used to house an art exhibition for the liverpool biennial

this one has been on the radar for sometime now and with it being almost impossible at he best of times ,we decided to check it out while it was getting used for the art exhibition and allowing public in.

originally it was just supposed to be a recce but after entering and admiring a bit of art for a bit ,it appeared (as sparkuk) found out that it was easier than anticipated to go wandering into the off limit parts, and have a free roam of the building.

we firsty ended up behind the scenes ,then worked out way up until we was on the roof we then decided to work our way down floor by floor.

on a day where we expected to be gazing at art id never imagined being in your canteenz,on your roofz, and in your medical suitez of a building ive always wanted to explore...........

dont get me wrong it wasnt all plain sailing as we found out ........

when we went to explore the basement we found out it was alarmed ,secca turned up ,we waited for a bit and left.............after making a donation into the donation box...............

visited with sparkuk,kevsy21,and jimmy carr

this was part of what the public was allowed to see , ive added it cause i think it sets the report off nicely
