Another one form the back catalogue

I have visited this place around 4 times - this one from Mar 2010. I love this mill and hope it's around for
some time to come. I have seen it decline in the time I have been visiting, with more and more stuff
vanishing.

The carding machines in the basement, despite repeated rumours to the contrary (who'd a
thought it eh in Urbex circles), were still in situ when I visited a few months back with
Sonyes and NYX.

anyhoo on with the piccies

This fabulous conveyor, which ran from one room into the next, was one thing that was
no longer there on our last visit.

This rather huge machine is no longer there - must have taken some work removing that

No wonder you went 4 times, looks like a great place, and the machines are very interesting...

also shows what you can do with a compact - this set was shot with my trusty old (and very, very battered) Canon G10

the old "its not the camera that takes the pic" thing....too true, and I would never have guessed these pics where off a camera of that caliber.
Manual settings, know-how, framing and not using on-camera flash in daylight goes a long way.

Another quality report there mate, I do have a soft spot for this place :)

Get it done mate, would love to see your take on the place!

Yup me too mate it just has a certain charm I love it.

is there much in these shots that had gone by time we went ?

Think there are a good few bits - the big green machine, the other machine and the conveyor ?

The chair, the basket and the sample book I think were all that was left on our visit :(

Nice set there pal, shame I missed out on some of this stuff, but was good to finally see the machines.....cheers for that, and the torch link ;)

Not been anywhere since our last one.......just been one thing after another :( need an adventure before I go back to work ;)

Amazing, those machines. It's always a complete mystery to me how someone sat down & designed & built them; clever stuff.
