I know there's one or two folk who wondered what the place looked like with all the machinery in situ! It was eventually all stripped down, packed up and shipped to China :( After this happened, all hell broke loose with activity from the local chav brigade and pikey's after their cable fix. It was sad to see it go down so rapidly. And the current reports on the place just cement my thoughts. So without further ado...... I give you......

Derelict Places is sort of depressing sometimes when I find yet another British company clearing off to China. But don't worry ! We can all work in the service sector taking each others washing in when it rains, or ironing other peoples shirts, or walking other peoples dogs - these are all 'growth' sectors of our (tee hee) econonmy.

Sybro was a susidary company incorporating Spectrum yarns which is still active today from the mill (Spa Mill) in the background of the attached pic. It's only a short walk between them both. Due to economic decline and cheap imports they had to scale back and run production from one point. All is not lost :)

Good stuff, I dont think i have seen this before, although the name does sound familiar, guess I may have seen post-pikey shots.

PArts of this look like you could throw the master switch and it would all come to life! Isn't some of the machinery magnificent???

Beautifully done, and thank you!
