I haven't been Urbexing for almost a year, so when Kent-Urbex contacted me about popping over to the Isle of Sheppey I was all over it.

I don't know much of the history of this place, but I know that it was a steel foundry and that it went into administration in January 2012. There were various reports about it being reopened from mid 2012, as the former owners took it back over then. But currently nothing is happening on the site, and no-one knows what is going on really. This article is from 24th January and confirms this: http://www.kentonline.co.uk/times_guardian/news/2013/january/25/thamesteel_anniversary.aspx

It wasn't the most stress-free explore I've ever done, but it wasn't a particularly traumatising one either. I had a superb day out there, the place is absolutely vast and there is so much left around, including massive cranes.

On with some photos then; I have seen reports better than mine before on Thamesteel and Kent-Urbex's is going to be amazing when he puts his up. Hopefully there is some merit somewhere in my report! Onwards.

BeGood...now there's a name from the past! Can't be the same BeGood who met up with us at Harold Wood a good 3+ years ago now can it?

Freddy is a coolant sucker, sucks the coolant out of a machine to dispose of it.

Great shots guys, seriously good stuff here.
