After failing at our first 'splore, we headed onto a spur of the moment plan B. Wow we were not disapointed and the disapointment from plan A was well and truly forgotten.

Although this place has been named over & over again, the amount of stuff is incredible, and there is just NO vandalism and that is how it shoud stay! (hence not publicly naming this site). Every time I look at my shots, there is something else to see that i never noticed at the time. It is so overwhealming that you miss half of whats just sitting in the background.

When comparing to other 'splores it is truly amazing how much is 'missing' and how much has generally moved and been 'set-up' (another reason to keep the chavs & metal fairys out).

Anyway, I couldn't find much history of my own on the place, so most of it is already on here in different forms:

Mill L, founded in 1826, became the biggest silk printing, dyeing and finishing works in the world.
Mill L later went on to become a specialist wire wheel manufacturer for classic and modern cars. Established in 1980 the company began manufacturing the steel rim types and wheel centres, which were no longer available at that time. During subsequent years the business developed and improved its range and manufacturing methods, quickly establishing themselves as suppliers to the best restoration shops around the world.
A new range of alloy rims was first developed in the 1990′s, which saw the company outgrow its premises, forcing them to relocate in 2009 to Northamptonshire.

Hope this isn't too Pic Heavy, but there was just so much to see and share!

And please if you do find this place, BE RESPECTFULL so that others may enjoy this in the future!

All comments welcome, and helpfull, constructive critisism always welcomed!

None of my shots are edited!

Got neck ache looking at those

Loads to see in there. Now I don't want to appear to be a pessimist, but sooner or later this place will probably end up being trashed. Don't get me wrong......... that's the last thing we all want! But natural selection will soon have the magpies flocking?

At least you now have the before shots

This place looks good.
Agreed about the wonky pics, you need to thin the uninteresting ones out as well, why do we need to see a photo of an empty can of Carling?

Because the heading says it is FULL and they want somebody to date the can by the graphics!

It really is amazing just howmuch stuff, which is not related to the actual business is on site. Judged by the pictures the staff must have been musically inclined. Thanks for a very good show

I quite like the natural raw, un-processed and un-staged photos like these, it shows the true state of a site, larger cans and all. I dont even mind the angles, in fact I didnt even notice until it was mentioned in replies!
The only thing wrong here is that I dont know where it is, feel free to PM me the location

It's looking a bit worse for wear I'd say alots moved about for sure

Good to see it though, the angles are a bit quirky for me too but not a bad report

From a few of the pics it appears the place has been used as a squat. Interesting place though, thanks for posting. I like the photo of the old rusting boiler, which looks like a 19th century Robin Hood if I am correct!

Yeh ok, i got it, bad angles! LOL! I am no profesional photographer, but thanks for the advice!
Eventually yes the place will get wrecked, and as said has been named many times before on here. I just didnt want to hand it to the vandals & thieves on a plate. They have to work for it now and i didnt want my report to be responsible for the destruction and fame of the site!
Thanks
