Hay folks... now I have gone past this site many of times when I have been on the tube to see my mighty hammers at Upton park and always wanted a mooch to see what it was so yesterday I had a loose end so that’s what we did.
The only thing is there is not much history of the site all I can tell you after speaking to the locals is that it was once offices for a metal works for the fabrication of scaffold tubes and such the like but the name of the company and when they stopped trading is unknown.
In resent years its become more of a free hotel for the homeless and junkies.
It was up for demo as tesco wanted to to buy the place to build a supermarket but plans where refused its also kicked up a stink with it being in such a state as its only down the road from the Olympic stadium.
