    Arrow Willington Cooling Towers, Derbyshire

I know this has been done loads but always room for more! Found some pics I took about 8 months ago of the cooling towers at Willington. Thought i'd share them with you as there are proposed plans to reinstate the power station so to make use out of the towers. (Inside info). Enjoy!
Taken on my camera phone, so not the best quality

Modern gas power stations use very different technology to the monstrous coal generators that the towers serviced. They will not be used again.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
