This site was home to a small hosiery factory since Victorian times, being rebuilt on a larger scale in the 1920's by Robinson & Pickford. Around the 1970's Ge Ka Knitware took over the factory, closing sometime in the late 80's/90's. I can remember it sitting for quite a few years full of pallets of various janitorial supplies, some of which are still there now. In more recent years the building always seemed to be occupied by quite a few shady characters, with a dodgy car workshop, generators going through the night, and people around at odd hours. It appears to have most recently been used as some kind of furniture wholesalers, though strangely I don't remember it ever being open as such. Visited a few times with Mr Sam, jacquesj, MD, Mr Carrot, Dangerous Dann, and jameswildcooper.

Great images, thanks for sharing! My favourite picture, looking down the stairs at the wooden door frame.
