Arrow WWW Machinery, Leicester, January 2014

Founded in 1897, this company manufactured Wood working machinery until it's liquidation in 2010.

I believe the company name still exists in some sort of servicing capacity.

The place is in reasonably good nick, although the factory floor is empty there is still a few bit's & pieces dotted about.

A quick solo visit which made a good to start the 2014 season with a trouble free explore.

I used to work there as an apprentice!

I still pass the building a couple of days each month, wondering whats still there!

Last time I went in - a couple of years ago, it was full of pallets of consumer goods like coffee and tinned foods!

Were you ever confined in the medical room during those formative years? ;) (You'll sometimes get the odd, weird question from the good folks on here! )

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
