Popped in here for 3 or 4 hours. What an amazing place. Unfortunately called back a couple of weeks ago and the access had been removed!!

History of the place is well documented but briefly George Barnsley was a supplier of tools to the shoemaking/leather industry. Founded in 1836 and moving to the Cornish Works in 1852.George Barnsley became Master Cutler in 1883. Becoming a limited company in 1946. George died at home in Sheffield in 1958 at the age of 83.

What I notice about all these places is: when they start to write on the wall then the writing is on the wall, if you know what I mean. I'm sure they didn't scrawl on the panels when it was all going well, only in the last days. Lovely set of pictures and if you've got hundreds more I hope it's not too long before we get to see some more of them. Thank you very much.
