Default Belmont Works Co-op factory, Birmingham

Hey guys. I made a trip to the old co-op factory in Birmingham in January. There are building works going on which was a bit scary, especially being in the building whilst there were diggers etc. I decided not to venture upstairs as I was a bit worried about falling through tbh! I called up the council and they wouldn't let me in for health and safety reasons. Anyway here are some pics.

Thanks guys. Yeah I think there was a big fire in 2007 or something. It's a shame because it would have been nice to explore the building when it was more stable etc. I guess that's just all part of it though!

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
