This is a mix of several visits.
After having my explore of the tunnel cut short by my own stupidity I have always wanted to finish the explore off with the viaduct & space between it and the tunnel. Finally got round to the viaduct last week.
First the Tunnel.
Went to the North end via the fields - didn't realise the footpath goes right past!
Always wondered how it would look as I got to within 200 or so yards to the exit before the water got too deep for my trainers. Any way you can hear a lot of water gushing in and there is a dam of crap about 50 or 60 feet from the gate.

Don't know how I got 2 lights at the end of the tunnel on this shot? All the others show one.

Further up the line is a cattle bridge.

Then a small platform with a prefab building on it

After that is a pile of rubble across the Railway bed which I didn't investigate.
To get to the viaduct I used the Jurassic Way - public footpath - all mud and no signs.
You fetch up here.

It's some kind of small water tank, like a header tank on a central heating system. Not sure what it's significance or use was. Then there is this.

So much for the bits & bobs
The viaduct has only one bit of mediocre graff on it - too far to walk with a bag of aerosols!

The river Leam doesn't go through the centre.
