Hi all.
I know I in last few weeks posted my pictures of Healey Mills but those were taken last summer. I have wanted to go back when it snowed but as you may be aware I am stil waiting!! D'oh!
I work with a full on train nut who lives near here and informed me that contractors had been in cutting carriages up and removing others that could be moved... NOT GOOD.
Off I went to get what I could whilst it was still there as I was also told that there were romours the local train contractors were thinking of accouring the land to sel lthe scrap metal on and use it as a massive dump for track ballest for the local area??
It is still a massive part of history and I cannot find many places like this still abandoned. It was like been in an 80's film set (STAND BY ME)
