Popped in here a couple of times over the last couple of months, a lot of the groovy stuff has gone and they've bulldozed some of the massive interior concrete floors and walls. The basement/cellar area extends under the whole site so there's still enough to keep a person interested for 3 or 4 hours.

A Brief History

William Stones began brewing with his mate Joseph Watts in 1854. Following the death of Joseph a few years later, William purchased the lease of the Neepsend Brewery in 1868 and changed the name to Cannon Brewery. He continued brewing until his death in 1894, one of the richest men in Sheffield.
The "iconic" Stones Bitter was first produced in 1948 and was the staple diet of Sheffield's steel working army. Cannon Brewery was rebuilt in 1962 and the company was taken over by Bass in 1968.
At the height if its popularity in 1992 Stones was the biggest selling bitter in England shifting over a million barrels. How quickly the mighty fall, Cannon Brewery closed just after Christmas in 1999 with the loss of 57 jobs.

Thanks for looking everyone ;) !!!!!

Finally! :)
Great pics, as always, mate! Particularly enjoyed the one with the torch light shining up the steps. Plus, a great picture of a chair and also a rooftop - everything included. Thanks, pal.

Excellent stuff, still looks a really good explore.
Cracking pics, cheers for sharing! :)
