2nd visit yesterday led us to Cowdale.
These quarries were worked from 1900 -1950 ish, and have some impressive if rather eccentric neo Egyptian style structures.
By all accounts these buildings are under threat of a new access road to the "in use" quarries, so get to see em while you can.
Again pics took with very basic camera, but hope I have done it some justice.
