I don't want to be a Chicken

This site has been empty for some time but the size of the empty chicken sheds makes you think about the poor old chickens that never saw the light of day.... anyway the company that owns the site are still up and running but it is my guess that the change in the law about battery hens may well have been the reason for it's closure. The company itself was started way back in 1924 but don't know much about when this place opened other than a rather boring set of doors with a plaque say that they were the original staff entrance doors from 1933-1989 of their former Wye site... so around 1989 I guess. I did a quick visit on my own but then went back with 2 non members as the place was so large and remote, it made me think I don't want to be a chicken not even an egg laying one because they still only have a short life before becoming ..... anyway on with pics.
