Norbert Dentressangle is a major European transport, logistics, and freight forwarder. It was founded in 1979, initially concentrating on cross-channel transport between France and the United Kingdom.
The Norbert Dentressangle rowley regis depot was closed down in August 2013 after bosses of the firm moved the base to the east midlands after making plans to expand the business even further. Around 140 people lost their jobs. However employees were given the option to transfer.
With the building(s) being a recent shut it still show on google maps as an active building however it will bracket "closed" to represent the permanent shut of the building.
The land have since been sold and handed over to Sandwell council. In 2014 it was announced that plans for around 200 homes had been agreed to and would commence later that year. However the Norbert Dentressangle have since stepped in to discuss the agreements. No news have been given so i assume the discussion is still going on in a council room somewhere...
The buildings themselves have clearly suffered some attacks but to be honest it only adds character to the place. Honestly it was one of the smaller places i have visited but surprisingly its one of my favourites. I have almost fallen in love with it.

The building was filled with colour and character. Unfortunately this doesn't really show as most my photos are in black and white.

As i dressed for the day in a pair of broken Vans i did not get to climb and adventure as far as i would have liked to. It certainly somewhere i will make the time to go back to.
