History
Clockhouse Brickworks was a Hansons factory built on a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) near Capel in Surrey.*It is a site for*palaeontological*and sedimentological research covering an area of 32.4 hectares. Similar strata are seen at Warnham. The*factory was phased out of production during early 2009 due to the downturn in the construction industry, and a lack of housebuilding projects. Since that time it has sat disused exposed to the elements gathering dust.

Explore

After a rather eventual (and picture-less) explore at Shoreham, a non-member*and I headed up to Clockhouse. i was pleasantly surprised with this one, and i'm definitely glad i finally got to do it. Lovely chilled explore, although i did get covered in crap and soaked thanks to a torrential downpour of rain just as we were leaving!

Nice to see this again, this was one of my first explores, will have to dig out my photos. Greats set. What happened at Shoreham? (that's on my to do list)

Yes nice to see the old girl once again, although it's definitely looking a bit tired since I last saw it in person

Nice bit of industry, class shots as always
