Had a busy day, 2 weeks back, in my home town. Didn't do much exploring tho, as most places I remember are now gone, or being devo'd and locked down real tight.

However, one of the best, J.N. Milllers factory was an easy target, with no cameras, quiet road and a straight walk upto the front of the place.

After getting past the main entrance, I kinda had to crouch to get in. Didn't realize that took me under the floor boards, and I could have just walked in on the ground floor(false raised floor)Nice way to enter tho!

Now, I only saw 2 maybe 3 rooms at the most, and I was trying to get my bearings before taking too many pics. My wife was a bit scared of coming inside, with this being our first proper explore. She stood out of eye-shot, but kept getting spooked, as I was in another room. She kept calling to make sure I could hear her, but we ended up disturbing someone up above us, who started moving pretty quick, so our trip was cut short by a quick dash back down the road!!

Awesome place, and want to go back before they secure the place too much. I need a good group to go with tho, so if anyone's up for it....................

Interesting place...looks as if there's plenty to explore in there.
Do like the last pic...love those old brick mills/factories.
Be interesting to see more pics when you go back.

Cheers :)

Very nice, I like old mills, you never know what you're going to find in there ;) Like the control buttons, how much dust and grime? hehe, It's a lovely building and agree with the others about the last pic.

Cheers,

:) Sal

It's an awesome place. Built in 1800, but re-built in 1851 in the fire-proof way that was the norm at the time. If you find it on Google Earth, the site is now half as big as it was. The line across the front in pic 1 is the old roof level of the main factory that was added later. It's connected to the old rail and canal networks, and has seen a hell of a lot of history, and now it's just sitting there, being vandalized. It was bought for flats in 2000, but is still waiting funding. Get in there if you can, as there are some amazing sights in there. I'm just yet to shoot them myself. :(
