Hi guys,

Seen a few reports on this place, and anyone that's been there will know how vast the site is. Everything's quite spread out here and there's plenty of little surprises waiting.

Once again this was another spontaneous explore but with slightly more prepared than last time. Anyway it was a rainy Sunday afternoon, and after buying a new lens for my camera my girlfriend and I decided to go on a little explore. After much googling we settled on this place. While driving around trying to find the site, the Heavens opened, so we patiently sat in the car and waited for it to clear. Eventually we made entry, which wasn't easy due to the now slippery surfaces. We were immediately amazed at how big the main office building was, the site is overgrown and there's plenty of rubble from the buildings that have now been demolished, finding a route around was tricky.

Finally after finding a way around we carried on with exploring. We ended up at the back of what was the old office building.

When we got to the back we discovered another smaller building which we believe to have been a post office.

Now onto the office building. I wasn't expecting it to be this big, but there was plenty here to explore. With the sky's cleared, gave me a great opportunity for some colourful photos of the building.

After spending some time getting photos outside, we couldn't wait to get inside and have a good look around.

With my eyesight not being great, my girlfriend spotted a building a short way behind the office building and insisted that we go check it out (and she was right, it was definitely worth having a look)

On approaching the eerie looking building, we found some amazing things here. The most saddening part of this explore, was the destruction of not only the buildings itself but all of the old factory drawings. Some of which were dated back to the 1960's. Most of them burnt around the edges but some were completely destroyed. A piece of this sites history lost and ruined thanks to a handful of bored and troublesome people.

Hundreds of drawings scattered all over the place.

On entering this building, the smell was obvious that a fire had occurred here. Tip toeing our way in, we were met by a room left torched.

In awe of what we were seeing, we thought it best we move on.

As soon as I stepped foot in this room I noticed the open folder on the floor.

After taking a photo, I flicked through and was amazed that the folder was untouched and most importantly undamaged, which lying in a room that had been ransacked lifted my mood somewhat.

There was some good graffiti dotted around, which I found impressive.

The fire damage was worse than we originally thought.

Walking into another part set slightly further back, we found what I assume was the compressor and electrical room.

And that's it, we were unfortunately unable to finish this explore in one day, so we'll be going back soon to finish off the parts we missed. I was amazed at how much there was to see here, and it was an overall great experience too. It's just disheartening that it hasn't been looked after by other people that have visited, but that's just how it goes I suppose. With the rain clouds gathering, I got one last photo before leaving.

Can't wait to go back for part two.

Cheers for viewing!

Superb report and nicely photographed. a pity you didn't split it up into three reports, but just as good the way it is.
