Default Cannon Brewery, Sheffield July 2017

    1. Introduction
This place has been on the urbex scene for ages. Not sure for how much longer as it's been scheduled for demo for some time now. But then again its demise was reported in The Star in August 2015 and its still standing. Since then it's been very quiet on the front of the brewery's future. Some stripping of metal etc has taken place and palisade fencing and razor wire installed making it far from the walk-in (or rather hop-over-the-fence) that it used to be. It's been trashed for years but the sheer size of the place, the views off the top and the top-notch graff make it worth a look.

    2. The History:
I'll not do the history again but you can find it here on my original report.

Another place that has just popped up that I thought was long gone! Sad to see a part of British brewing heratige in this state, and to know it is not long for this world. They don't build them like they used to, they are all a fraction of the size and mainly in barns or industrial units. Great pics as always mate, glad you got another look in before she is a goner.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
