Default Cawdor Asphalt Plant, Matlock August 2017

Following the heads up from Infraredd on this place I felt I needed to pay it a little visit as these kind of industrial explores are the kind of locations I like to have a chilled wander around.

It's big and dirty and has a fair bit to look at on the upper levels and I enjoyed it very much although the visit was cut a little short by the arrival of a couple of shady looking characters - I had seen all the interesting stuff already but left with no external shots sadly.

Thanks for looking, more here https://www.flickr.com/photos/mookie...57685875612253 :)

    Nice work mate.
I went here a few weeks back and for some reason I couldn't get any pics outta the place yours are good though. It's a nice relaxed place well at least we were the only shady characters there anyhow.

It wasn't the overweight teenager & his shell suited emaciated mate being all mouthy as they wandered through? I watched them from the tower bit & walked across their line of vision but they were so engrossed in deep meaningful discourse that they didn't see me.........

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
