I can’t find much history on this place other than it used to manufacture cinder blocks for the construction industry. Based on some calendars and documents that have been left behind, it closed some time in 2006. I visited here one evening with jsp77 and had a nice quiet explore on a normally busy industrial estate.

Thanks for looking,

Rubex

Aaaah my cement works! Shame the rails are all gone now, from what I hear it won't be around much longer. Great set.

Seems like they were a bit OTT on H&S, a pretty small site to have a medical room...

A legal requirement sometimes, of the Planning Grant at that time - due to type of work, numbers employed on site and location of nearest hospital. One can find them on even smaller sites constructed at that time. Better OTT on H&S, than a worker loosing the sight in an eye due to corrosive cement particles.

Nice images Rubex, like the sky in your first two externals.

I enjoyed looking through those photos Rubex, you have captured it really well:encouragement:

Not much has changed since i last went, but was nice to have another wander round.

Love the shot of the clocking in/out machine and the boots Rubex:glee:...I don't think even jsp can eat more than 3 shredded wheat though:tongue-new:

I like this thanx Rubex!
