Location
Cambridgeshire.
Intro
After cancelling an explore due to issues with transport we had to find an alternate location. Thankfully Explorer X stumbled across this derelict Tarmac Quarry, with no reports or info to confirm its state this was a gamble if we would get in. We boarded the bus and headed out to it.

History
I'm struggling to find any accurate info so I'll update the report when I get it.

The Explore
On arrival we could see the massive conveyor belts leading upwards, due to the site's location we had to be cautious so that nearby factories ect didn't spot us. Once inside site the entry to buildings was no trouble as they had been left wide open.

I'll stick the photos in some sort of order below....

The First Building.

This was the most vandalized of them. The building contained mixers, kilns (I assume), offices and staff rooms.

External Buildings & Structures.

The site featured a lot of external and randomly placed structures I was going to call this section "Other" but this seemed more appropriate.

Offices and Staff Rooms.

As expected this factory was going to have staff rooms and offices. The main office was trashed and I only managed one decent photo.

The factory office was a bit more photographic?

And the third office was vandalized yet still intact.

And a staff room.

The Second Building.

This next building looked more of a warehouse. Cranes ran along the roof over a relatively empty room.

Attached to the building was a medical room, which surprised me at first.

Vehicles.

Oh. Did I mention there's a crane outside?

As a location this was good, vandalized, but still worth a look.

Thanks to ExploerX for finding this!

Thanks for looking

Site Update
August 2018: The site has now entered demolition. Most of it is now the steel skeleton.

Thanks! I was surprised by a medical room especially with a bed ect.
This place is not undiscovered as I have recently found Rubex went here in 2016 ish.

you got a bus there so that deserves one of these:applause: and one of them :encouragement:for starters!!! Looks like a half decent little explore even though it is a bit trashed...credit for getting off your arses and finding somewhere!

Thanks I guess? I’m surprised I didn’t get a disease from the bus, took a risk on public transport.
The site is a nice explore, nothing spectacular, as a climbing spot it’s pretty good. I may return to play with iron wool....
