    Default Cwm Coke works

I know I know, Im about 5yrs behind everyone else but I only had a few spare hours while on hol with the better half the other week & being in South Wales there was one place I promised myself I would see (well squeezed 2 in actually but more about that later).

    The History
Its a big ass redundant coke processing plant which Im amazed is still there.

    The Explore
I did a real quick bit of research but knowing every man & his dog has been in here wasn't too concerned.
In reality it was harder to access than I thought & in the already scorching early morning sun was sweating so much I nearly gave up after half hour of walking but am soo glad I didn't!

If u don't know the place is huge & I only really got to see a quarter of it in the limited time I had.
Had to make a sharp exit due to security guy & dog wandering about, fortunately I was way above him & was not spotted.
Oh yeah & I managed to get plastered.
Anyway like I say great explore, hope u like the pics!

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
