Never got in here, they had freshly patched up the palisade when I tried it after Mansfield Hospital in 2012. Shortly after that the electric fence was put atop the palisade and it became a veritable fort knox!
usual, someone complaining nothing wrong with them contrary to beliefe surveyors have been in and they are structually sound i also suggest you research "top hard" kind regards someone from the village of clipstone

i do not appreciate the need to abreviate a swear word towards me i find that offensive have a look for top hard plans for the headstocks also surveyors have been to the headstocks and they have been declared as structualy sound.

Cheers for your contribution, I don’t think anybody is having a dig at you, and nor should they because it’s good to get an update from a local. :)
Great news that the headstocks are sound – I remember the handrails and stair treads were a bit rusty when I climbed them ten years ago, but the headstocks themselves were fabricated from very heavy steel sections so even with no maintenance they’ll last for decades before they become dangerous - unlike say the Forth Bridge where the marine atmosphere would corrode the structure. The headstocks have probably gone 15 years without maintenance now, mind you.
