    Default Abandoned Abattoir-Scotland-February 2018

First post and pretty new to this urban exploration but mainly into it for the photography side of things.

This abandoned abattoir is located in central Scotland and has been empty since 2005 apparently with a lot of the areas stripped of all things metal. Access onto site here was pretty easy with no security on site any longer. The upper areas have been badly damaged by fire but still plenty to see on the site.

Not bad for a first post. Poor weather.

Nice one, yet to see one of these in good condition.
Don't worry about security until you've been caught.

The metal fairies had stripped this place bare :)

These are well taken, pics 2 and 6 particularly. Probably the best effort I've seen out of that place in a good long while.

Thanks very much, there are other areas I want to return but will need some decent lighting and a tripod as all these were handheld.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
