Well, first off, sorry for creating a separate thread. The reason is the quantity of photo's, and the fact that I went with someone different than the first visit. We went back to shoot what I missed first time, and Boy, it didn't disappoint!

We were there for around 4 hours, just seeing EVERY THING the site has to offer. This time I was kitted up with me new Metz flashgun.

Hope you like the pics, and get a sense of just how bloody big the place is, for a city centre factory!

So many pics(500 in all) and so little to upload here.

diluted will be along soon to post his(can't wait to see them. Quality as usual?) so another reason to start a new thread.

Enjoy the photos guys, and maybe we can all go and visit it sometime, when it's not so full of water and leaks! :)

Many thanks to Virusman, he found a great site, and borrowed me a tripod for the day. I much prefer natural light over flash any day of the week, but my tripod is big and cumbersome (I bought it to use with an RB67).
I also played with my new laser pen.

There's a select few here, you can see more on my flickr:

Cheers all, and good stuff from diluted again! Top visit, nice and easy. Some bloody scary noises tho from the old heavy fire doors that lead out to the narrow back alleys.

haha, how scared was I....
sounded like someone coming in and walking towards me.

cheers for the loan of the tripod, couldn't have got many of those shots without it.

Just put a quick video together too.

Glad you like it, just thought the video clips would add a little more to the report. I'll try and do the same for any other sites I do from now on, given the time! :)

some motion video of corngreaves would kick ass. might be too dark though i guess.

Looks a good 'un, nice one. Love the light painting, too, my efforts always look abysmal!!.

TnM :)

I've never really got the hang of light painting. I just wanted to write with my new laser pen, and the fact that it lit the room was a bonus. I much prefer to leave my camera on a tripod and use long exposure with natural light. If its insanely dark, I tend to use flash.
If I do "paint" i again use a flashgun off camera, rather than a torch.

a lot of the time its just practice, trial and error. learn from mistakes. most of all have fun.

And here it is now..........

DSM moved in a few weeks ago to level the place. Work starts soon on the Kettle works over the road that I never managed to get into. They're using the land as a base.
