Visited with Lawrence and Saul. All I can say about this place is that its rather cool, bags of character and loads to see, the fabric rooms are that cozy you could quite happily fall asleep in them.

Think the highlight though was seeing all the records that litter the place and the rather impressive books with the company shares certificates still in situ.

Love those share certificates, and the labels, and cotton cones, oooooooh and all those fabric samples. my mum would have a field day in there lol. so would i come to think of it :D I could spend hours if not days in there going through all the paperwork thats left etc.

What a fantastic find, cheers Havoc, amazing pics as always.

Cheers,

:) Sal

Super find & superb pics! In places it's almost like the workers have just gone for lunch! Top job!

I visted the place a few times when it was in use, to repair some IT equipment. It would be nice to go back and have a look around.

Just a thought. Why don't you and your friends contact the site owners, and offer a salvage price for the historical paperwork? No need to implicate yourselves with being on site, just say you found details on the internet. This approach is nothing new, and has resulted in a number of local Historical Societies being able to save a number of important documents from old defunct businesses. Alternatively you could contact the local Society and tell them about your findings.
