Not strictly UE as I have access, but this particular site, like many of the larger exchanges has several floors not used since the late 80's and are left pretty much untouched. Only camera phone pics so appologies for the quality. In no particular order.

Nice explore! I love anything to do with phones, reminds me of when I heard about phreaking back when I was at school being amazed at the thought of what was possible...
 
I presume that electronic switching equipment takes up a lot less space.

In the late 1980s I went to an exchange open day & found it interesting, especially the computerised directory enquireries, very impressive for the time to have a fuzzy search facility.

Did somebody say Heath Robinson?? lol. There's an exchange near me that doesn't appear to be in use, think I'll try the permission route. Nice one.
