After falling off a rock face yesterday morning, I took a wander up here with Kaputnik. This was my second visit, previous report here. Just a couple of shots this time. Place is much the same as before, a few minor changes, including a fab Heath Robinson guttering system :)

From a low roof, the Millennium Walkway visible in the background.

The lower section, near the chimney, where I suspect the steam engine was housed. Now just a few ruined walls.

And finally, an arty shot.

Thanks to Crashmatt for the trip up here, and a good mornings climbing. Hope the blood scrubbed off ok, mate!
Not many of my pics of the interior turned out that well, so mostly shots of the building and it's beautiful surroundings....

the mill closed in 2002, after being in use for over 200 years! (it was built in 1790) albeit with various different industrial uses, making it the longest continuous mill manufacturing site in england....

The Millennium Bridge is a bit of a giveaway :)

hmmm only if you know where or what the milenium bridge is

*************** edit***************

I just googled "milenium bridge and it only shows me stuff in London...i`m sure that aint part of Derbyshire !

This is so cool :) Made some comments on Flickr so I won't repeat them here, but it looks like an awesome explore.

It's the Millennium Walkway, rather than bridge. But putting "millenium bridge derbyshire" gives you a pretty good idea. But you know what, putting "Torr Vale Mill" into google gives you loads of info, including the location and a plan of the fucking site.

Sadly it depends on the person you ask, but a PM might be a better option; the person asked might give more information than in an open topic.

There's a difference between helping and spoon feeding. If the information wasn't so easily available then I'd have been quite happy to help. Given just how easy it is to find I'm disinclined to lead someone by the hand.

Exactly, this is a site full of people that are willing to help, but only after you've exhausted the avenues for doing it for yourself.
