Visited with havoc and lawrence,

we all know about this place so im not going to bother with the history and stuff, just look at the pics and sit back in AWE of the sheer scale of this place!!

after a relatively easy entrance we made our way DEEP into the beast and basically had the run of the place!! ending with the BEST controll room i have EVER seen!!

many thanks to wolfism for the info, and to RJGscotland for inspiring me to visit with his AWESOME video of the place!!

anyhow, PICS!!!

Mega cool lads. Its great you can still get in here.Class pictures too, especially that control room.

Glad that you guys got in and out safely - it's great to see the old girl again! ;)

Looks like you managed to do the whole Inverkip experience, too ... yeah, the control room is one of the best places in Scotland. When we went, someone had kindly left a plate of fresh sandwiches - it seemed churlish to refuse! The illuminated ceiling is something else ...

Fantastic photos there. Havoc, you even got them in focus

It really is an impressive site.
:)

Fabulous pics guys. I thought this place was locked up tighter than a drum following the newspaper exposé?
I presume you did not tackle the tower then? Still, plenty to see inside. It looks like the night-shift has just knocked off, the place is mint!

Fantastic stuff :)

Not seen anything from here for a whiley, it's still looking good!

Looks like you had a good roadtrip :)

Well played both of you. Glad it is still accessible and still looking un-trashed. Great pics (while they last Havoc ;)). Looks like you saw a fair bit - did you take the knackering climb onto the roof or the one we didnt get a chance to do - the chimney?

Great pics (while they last Havoc ;)).

What ever do you mean;) Yeh we went to the roof, the chimney wasnt doable sadly, really annoyed us but cant complain, the rest of the site more than compensated for that, it was worth the trip, truly spectacular.:)

Excellent pics you two. Love that control room, jeez, all those buttons, dials etc, I'd be soooooooo tempted to press a few of them lol.

Love all those pipes and tubes etc. Lovely seeing the telephone pic in there.

Cheers guys,

:) Sal

Fabaulous tour and pics, chaps. Lots of parts I've not seen before. Those control panels are amazing but it's the steam pipes I really like. Great stuff! :)

Excellent pics you two. Love that control room, jeez, all those buttons, dials etc, I'd be soooooooo tempted to press a few of them lol.

I've tried a lot of them and they don't do anything, the phones work though... apparently.;)

Great shots, the control room looks like it came from the set of Space 1999!!! Some of the more youthful won't know what i'm talking about????

Really looks the business though, like the old telephone shot.
