These derelict mills date from the 1700.s! there are in Matlock, Derbyshire.
They were used for corn, paint, bleach and lead over the years, they closed in the 1920.s and are now in the middle of woodland!
The waterfalls that used to run the wheels are a beautiful sight but not appropriate for this site.
It's actually quite near to the old bunker I posted in here - Bailey's trump!

Also on the other side of the Nottingham Road you have Riber Castle.
 
What a beautiful setting, I love pics like these. Excellent pics, and love the waterfall too. Is this place easy to get to? Wouldn't mind taking my 4 year old (and TnM of course lol) here, she'd like exploring this.

ps. WOW, just found it. According to the Arwright Society there were 6 mills in total on that one stretch of Bentley Brook. That's it, We're off across here this weekend.
