Cooper and Turner ltd, Vulcan Road Sheffield (now Meadowhall Drive)
These photos were taken by me in approx 1985 during the company's demolition to make way for a car park.
There was a print directly on the wall in the reception area which can be seen through the window on the left in the first photo. The print was taken from the Turner family's original business card- Joseph Turner Gun Barrel Manufacturers, Birmingham. The third photo shows the main entrance, to the right were the Toolroom and Hot Rivet sections already demolished. To the left the toilet block (with "Darlek" on top) and Cold Rivet section and office block.

My first post hope you like. Rich:)

It's great to see photos of somewhere that was demolished some time ago. Thanks for posting those pics. Love the first one with the print seen through the window. :)

Another branch of the Turner family owned a gunsmiths business in Sheffield. I believe the business still trades, but do not think the bespoke sporting gun side is still in existance - well not with guns produced on the premises.

Glad you like the photos.

I think the Turner Gunsmiths or shop was on Shalesmoor in Sheffield- not completely sure though.

Cooper and Turner are still in business on Sheffield Road, they took over the old George Cooper factory.

Rich:)
