After having walked around a farm today, I decided to walk over to the Coal depo, which was unused.

There was a security guard snooping around, but he seemed totally uninterested when he spotted me taking a photo of the place, he didn't even come over.

Ever so, I didn't get a massive amount of photos cause I'd walked quite a way and visiting this site was more of an afterthought having been to the farmhouse, also the battery warning was on my camera, so I didn't know how long I had before they went totally.

Anyway, heres the photos, HDR to follow tonight or tomorrow.

Lots of people like the HDR though, which I why I always include both anyway. The full set of photos, both HDR and normal will be included.

The normal photos are included here, and the link to all of them is at the bottom of my original post

Oooooooooh that almost looks brand new. All those buildings and conveyors (well the outside of lol) look so clean. Any idea on how long it's been closed? or, looking at these, how long the place has been built for?

Excellent pics, I do like this.

Cheers,

:) Sal

Here's the HDR shots from this trip today.

I'm not happy with alot of the ones showing the sky cause their were no clouds so the skys havn't come out very well.

Overall some good HDR, but I'm not happy with a majority of them.

Anyway, decide for yourself :)

I like the photos, the HDRs are great if a bit extreme, still, keep them coming, I love them!
Looks like a nice site too.

Looks an interesting prospect … like a newer, brighter version of Gascoigne Wood.

Don't bother with the HDR photos. I would far rather see the location without them.

As a matter of choice I prefer the "regular" pics, it allows you to see the location as it really is. How long has this site been disused? It looks almost brand new

I think the NCB built the site just as the coal mines were closing down, so the site didn't see much use.

I've no idea, I've seen it for years as a kid driving past, but it was only today I actually had a look up there

There was a fella loading stuff into one of the containers, so I assume the sites still used for storage, mabey the containers are rented out for private storage?

excellent site and excellent pics fella.. am not a big fan of HDR but d like to include them in my reports as some viewers like them.. excellent job matey thanks for sharing
