Opening on the 7th September 1931, the Regal Super Cinema had 960 seats and replaced the Gem Picture Palace.
Constructed of stone with a white facade the circular shields once spelt out R.E.G.A.L however after closure in 1958 this was changed to B.I.N.G.O.
In 2005 the building was bought by an entropreneur who had plans to develop the building into whatever local residents wanted, however some 6 years later the building still stands derelict.
Although very trashed,still worth a visit.
