Not very exciting this one really but dont recall seeing it reported before so thought I would share what few pics I have from a quick visit in rapidly deteriorating light.

Only bit of info I could find on this place was the following:-
The Wheatsheaf was a former coaching inn, the traditional stone building with collyweston slate roof dates back to the 17th century.
The hotel had 19 individually furnished, en-suite rooms & was licensed to perform civil wedding ceremonies.
Three handpumps serve real ales from Great Oakley brewery.

In short it was a typical high class village pub but despite great reviews in 13 this still closed its doors in early 14..

Its remained in relative unmolested condition for some years.

Only decent feature was the tiling in the main stairwell.

Some of the rooms were quite decent still.

The En suit in one of the outside "motel style" rooms was amazingly untouched too.

Thanks For Looking

That's a nice building and no windows smashed or any grafitti because it's pretty well sealed up. Picture 4 shows a nice wooden floor which could do with a nice polishing. Nice find.

yeah its quite a well to do village too with just one main road through so the locals keep a pretty good eye on it i think

Nice looking building and not trashed. Don't know why but pubs don't do a huge deal for me. Done a couple though.
