Thought i would take a look at Billesdon POW camp the other day. And looking at other reports on here there used to be one remaining building.
I may be wrong but if it was in the fenced off bit by the nature reserve entrance (with its own gate)- its been flattened and just the base is remaining like the other huts there
The remains of the sewage works is still there.

Sorry about the photo- i didnt realise my camera was focusing on the bush instead of the clearing!

Yeah the remaining hut was in a fenced off bit if I remember correctly. Seems a bit stupid that the concrete bases of other huts have been preserved and have plaques, yet a complete well preserved hut is demolished

I think it was your thread that i saw Goldie, its still on the map that is there showing the original layout of the area- but we had a good look round and the area where the map says it is thats fenced off by the road is demolished! (looks pretty recent) -it was to the right of the entrance from the road to the nature reserve?
Like you say- it seems stupid to have plaques and then demolish the last remaining building!

This has to be recently knocked down as she was still standing when i visited on 6th april - looked like they had just repaired the holes in the fence that used to surround it.
