Flooded underground pumphouse, used to be part of the WW2 pipeline system for fuel transfer to airfields and "PLUTO".
I hoped there would have been some 1930s pumps. Perhaps there are?

looks interesting deffo a scuba job! there is an underground fuel storage system here from the second world war that Ill post up soon.
 
Is there any lower ground nearby, you could syphon it out :p

It would be interesting to see whats in there, especially if its a PLUTO pump :mrgreen:
 
I don't think I would like to scuba dive in there but I'd like to see what is there. I think a mobile sludge pump is in order for this one
 
A nice find indeed Engineer, hope you get to see further in at some point. TTW recce'd something like this near the Severn a few weeks back, wondering if it's the same area. I'll drop you a PM :)

Lol, I suspect the water level matches the river level exactly and is connected to it through a u/s pipe.:mrgreen:

I was expecting my first meeting with a "Pearns Triple Ram" pump.:cry:
