A couple of the buildings are on a public footpath, but mostly on private farmland. Most of the buildings have been used as barns. The site was selected early in 1940 and was in use by September that year, though not long after was not required and was closed in 1942.

Have you managed to find any archive pics? I don't suppose there is much about if it was only operational for a couple of years?
 
Nice, I do like WW2 stuff :)

That bunker looks rather Chain Home-esque...
 
The building pictures does look very similar to the ones at RAF Stenigot. The picture with the combined harvester in it even appears to have one of them pits in the center of the picture that looks like it has been filled in but look remarkable like the ones in the bunkers at Stenigot.
