Well to start off with, a massive thanks has to go out to jonney for this site, he found it located it and was kind enough to let me know about it.

Today i had a day off and decided to jump in my car and go to the pill box which is a two minute drive (just up the road) i had a walk down a dirt track over a rail bridge and there she was in front of me, to be honest i felt she was in good nick. Ie not too much cosmetic damage there is a few names scribbled on the walls and callum and skanky have used it as a drinking establishment but what do you really expect in todays society.

I have lost my camera so the pictures have been taken on my samsung tocco phone so don't be expecting amazing pictures as for one im no photographer and secondly i can think of better things to spend a grand on.

any ways i hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.

No problem mate glad to be of service. Not bad photo's considering its a camera phone I've got to say. Fine example of a lozenge pillbox, I'm just pleased someone got to photograph it.

P.S. I see my instructions worked then

Cheers Jon

Some good pics there for a camera phone scotty thanks for taking them, you don't see to many pics of the lozenges.

Is that the one near Blands Corner Scotty? Or one of the ones down by The Tees?

I've seen a lot of miltary stuff over the years having just completed 22 years in the RAF. I have to say stuff like this fascinates me all the more nowadays. Whenever I'm on a RAF camp I'm always checking stuff out.

Don't live in Darlo anymore though, I'm in Oxfordshire.

Cheers for the tip.

Well guys think an apology is in order i haven't logged on here in a while now due to work commitments so please don't think im an ignorant pig lol, it was getting to the stage were i was banging out 11 hour shifts then coming home and being on here for 5 hours reading awesome reports and etc, and the misses didnt find my quality time with the derelict places healthy ha ha.

Well jonney on a good note one of the other pill boxes you kindly told me about believe it or not took me quite some time to find. its right next to the road which i drive up on a bus service but i could never see it. and when the snow came out it stood there like a sore thumb so either i need to stop day dreaming or i need glasses lol.

just one thing before i go am on holiday next week and i am going uptoo scotland to view something rather interesting so hopefully will have it on here 2 weeks, as well as the other pill box.

thanks again for looking
