    Default R.A.F.Upper Heyford

Visited today with Mattdonut and Goldie87, thanks to goldie for doin the driving !!!!! well you all may know the history on the site so i wont put it down again. It was -1 and bloody freezing, the site was like a skating rink but it was a good day, we tried the hospital and supermarket side but it was tighter than a nuns crutch so we went to the right of the buildings across the athletics track to the accomodation, schools and admin, spent a few hours there and headed to the front of the site to find more great stuff, unfortunatley it was beggining to get dark so another trip is on the books !!!

Remarkable place. Nice pics (if a bit small). :)

You boys really did only scratch the surface, give me a shout next time i only live down the road I know the place inside out.

Shame to see the Volleyball court so trashed now, we found that earlier in the year and was perfect condition.

    Great pics anyway guys.

Yeah might take you up on that, as we will be returning one day! By the time we got to the side with all the accommodation blocks we were running out of light, so had to call it a day :(

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
