Thought I'd better get this posted before Jindivik does all the stuff in North Wales ;)

This is situated on the Great Orme headland and was used during the war to train gunners. Targets were floated in the bay and were fired on from the guns on the headland.

There are still a few things to see, including the holdfasts for the guns, and I am pretty sure there is more stuff on the headland - we just didn't have enough time to check.

well done, good piccies
i will have to get me skates on now the old RAF stations at Penrhos, Bodorgan and Mona,old site need a visit,plus the A/A camp at Tonfanau looks good keep ya posted

Not much left at Mona or Bodorgan these days I'm afraid - a lot of good stuff went at Bodorgan in the mid '90s and the original control tower at Mona went sometime in the Naughties :(
