Had a look around here today
A training command station,units include ,Magister/Wellington/Oxford/Hurricane
so here goes

Yes the tower is there ,next to a hangar,didnt take it as the controller in it was looking at me with a Bulldog face,it is still a active airfield,the cafe is ok though,
there are other buildings on the same road still to explore ,looks quite easy to do so

They usually let you in the tower for a look round if you ask

The old bomb dump on the other side of the airfield is still there too.

Some nice remains there, jindivik. Just wondering if that sink was an original fixture, as the style looks old enough to have been. Good stuff.

Hate to admit,but I have the same style basin in my bathroom!!I just love all old fashioned things..you should see the phone in the hall!

im not sure ,but the thunder box next to it was old ,it is a bg sink whats reckon on age ?

My parents had one like that, which was original with the house, and the house was built during the thirties.

the airfield began in 1940,so not far away with syyle,bloody old any way ,thats when things were made properly that lasted
