A few photos of a crashed Wellington bomber and a Vampire on the Black Mountain on the western Beacons.
But it seems that I am not allowed to post photos??

I have ( somewhere ) a small booklet of all the crash sites in the Black mountains, there a many, Fortresses , Spitfires, Ansons all sorts, none German though , with map locations , History of and the fate of all the crewmen.

Also details of what still remains, some are in bogs, some private ground.

Have been up there many a time on a old trials bike, ( saves walking )

Hi

If you have Google Earth point it at Kinder Scout in derbyshire, there must be a good 50 crash sites with lots of artefacts
