As part of the Heritage Open Days events, the Decontamination Centre at Greenham had it's boards taken off the stupidly thick metal doors and was opened to the public for 2 days last weekend. It wasn't a huge place, a walk-round lasted no more than half an hour but it was a nice thing to see especially as I had done the GAMA site itself a couple of weeks prior.

Not urbex in the 'true' sense in that it was a permission do, but it's not likely to be opened up again any time soon!

Cheers guys:)

Nice pics Mookster. What kind of kit are you using to get shots like that?
Godzy

My current kit is a Canon EOS 550D with just the regular 18-55 lens (although I desperately want/need a wideangle), these were all shot handheld as well as tripods weren't the best idea in a cramped space.

Glad you enjoyed your visit.

Four of us were due to visit on the Sunday.

We travelled from Essex to Portsmouth on the Friday, did HMS Sultan, and Whale Island on the Saturday, and on the way back to camp found that Eastney Fort East was open on the Sunday, so decided to visit this instead.
