A few weeks ago I had a great explore in Southend and Shoebury, and had a look at some of Southend's sea defences. The first is a pillbox which was fenced off, although was placed behind an old Victorian brick wall, with a brick removed for the firing loop-hole! Quite a disguise! the next is two anti-tank blocks, one features a commemorative plaque (it states over 1,000 AT blocks used to line Southend's shores in the 1940s). Finally was a view of the Mulberry Harbour, which lies in the ocean, snapped in half.
